can some 1 pls help me find a place that sells peltiers dd is out of the high powered 156watt NOOO!!! so any suggestions and im getting a Copper Cooling Cube so i need one that is not too much wattage for it. And i have a separate psu

www.3dcool.com has the smae wattage pelts, they are a bit pricier though, but i just ordered one from there for the same reason.

how many watts would a k7 1.2/200 oced to about 1.3-1.4 put out??
At 1.85 volts it would put out 75.7 watts at 1300 mhz and 80.9 watts at 1400 mhz.

I used a little program called Radiate to figure that out. You can get it
here.

thx man. 1 more question if i have a cpu running at 80watts and have a 100watt peltier would i have to cool 100watts or 180watts??

180 watts of cooling power needed.

Huh so it will only be 100watts for the peltier? im confused hey look i didn't know i got my first star ;) tearing up...

i believe that you should come as close as you can to double your cpu out put ;D
I got one that was about equal to what my CPU puts out and it worked out great. I didnt want to go too far below ambient because of condensation. I put an 85 watt leuftkens on there and it worked out perfect. I had my 1200 running at 1400 with plenty of room to spare (till I crushed it). This 800 just sucks and wont go any higher no matter what I do.

i put an 85 watt pelt on a 1ghz tbird @ 1246 (82 watts) hooked to a hedgehog and my temps went up i should have been using a 170 watt pelt and a better hsf ;D

100 watt pelt + 80 watt CPU = 180 watts heat generated. The pelt puts out 100 watts by itself and if you add an 80 watt load, there will be 180 watts of heat coming off that puppy.

yep there is defintly an advantage to, water+pelt as aposed to air+pelt

I dont think a normal HSF could handle anything over about a 50 watt pelt or so. 50 watts + say 70 for the CPU is about on the outside limit of an air cooled setup.

need to find a radiator that can do about 160-200watts. Any suggestions or should i even go with a pelt

I dont know that a pelt is actually necessary unless you absolutely positively have to have one (like me, I'm sick, you see). There are alot of inherent problems with pelts.
1. They can cause condensation (very bad thing)
2. They require large amounts of power to run (Usually requiring a second power supply)
3. They generate ALOT of heat (A whole nuther set of problems there)
4. If something happens to the pelt or supply or for whatever reason it stops working, they make great insulators and will kill your chip in short order.

Maybe a better use for a pelt would be a chiller. That would eliminate #1 and #4. Thats what I'm gonna do with mine as soon as my Maze2-1 gets here.

well we are going to find out about that 50 watt thing ..with you runing at 22C 1.76 volts with an 85watt pelt i should be able to drop my temps a little with my swiftech and a 85 watt pelt ...dont ya think?

does radaite take into account the c volt`s?
