CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE PENCIL TRICK IS BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

On AMD Duron and Thunderbird CPU's there are pads on the chip that can be connected with graphite (or another conductor) to allow the motherboard to change the multiplier(unlike Intel).
