can a 320W generic PSU power my rig? im gonna overclock
now that i finally am able to get HD. see sig

please tell me, i need a quick respone, am fixing to place
an order. please

ok, here is how my PSU looks. what do yall think?

is that at default speeds or overclocked.

That is great for a stable system. Now the overclocking might bring that +5 down.

yikes, that +5.00 is kind low, you usually dont want it to go below 4.95 or so, and generic psus arent good at all....i say you be on the safe side and get a 350 watt enermax or something, my friend has a 1600+ with an enermax 350 and it runs great

that is running at full load, folding 3 days stragint!! it's pentium
4 certified if that helps. i should go with a little hihger? 350W
antec sound good for overclocking to 1.7 ghz?

Id go with the 400w antec. Best PSU ive ever had. not too much on newegg either. heres my voltages:

you could always go for the enermax 431 watt, mine doesnt go under 5.02-5.1 at all times, no matter what speed.....great PSU for the money, extra fan helps case flow too

Just try the psu with the overclock, and keep an eye out for the voltage. If it does start dropping, then it's definately time to shop.

Hoot's got a good sticky on a great power supply for the money....get it. It's the Antec 400 watter, which will never run out of juice for ya. (unless you have 20 fans or something;) )

thanks digrr, i went out and got Hoots reccomendation.

ill let ya know how it OC's after my HDD comes in in a few
days

Heh no biggie, my generic goes as low as 4.76, yet it's still stable!

This is a self-experiment thing that you have to experience for yourself!
