I always wondered because I never found a power supply with a good amount of amps for a cheap price.

I've benn thinking about splicing the atx connectors form two power supplies together. It could work... Both PS supply power, and turn on synchronizedily (I don't care if it's a word or not!)...

Ahhh! Enlightenment.

Yes that's a better plan than I had, I was going to use an old AT supply for extra drive/fan/pump? power but wiring an ATX so it powers up at the same time is a better plan.

how would I power a pelt from the slave ps then?

Don't use anything else off of the second PSU. That way everything avaiable will be usable by the pelt.
