Hi all,
I'm helping out a friend, trying to get his notebook to output to a TV.
The note books is a little old (2002/2003), a Compaq Presario 2100, running Windows XP, SP3.
It has ATI Radeon IGP 320M onboard graphics.
I have updated the graphics driver to version 6.13.10.6218, which I downloaded from: ATI Radeon IGP 320M - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
I'm connecting the notebook to a TV via the s-video connection. I have done this before, so have the connections correct. I have connected the notebook to two different TVs, a CRT and an LCD, with the same result.
The problem is when in Windows XP Display Properties, Settings tab, and I click on the second display and then the 'Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor', the system does NOT extend the display to the second monitor. All that happens is that the notebook monitor blinks, and then Windows unticks the 'Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor'.
I have tried all resolutions possible, I have reboot Windows with the second monitor plugged in and then tried to extend it, but nothing.
I'm out of ideas, any suggestions?
Cheers
Dazz
