I have a Gateway desktop with an Intel "Jabil" PII mainboard, which I have been told is also called the intel 82443 440BX. I have also been told it is an intel "Tabor" mainboard, so I'm a little confused!
It is running PhoenixBios 4.0 release 6.0 : 4W4S0X0.15A.P14
It is running a PIII 450 SL35D chip.
I want to overclock, but cannot access the clock settings, even after moving the jumper to config mode. I have tried taking out the battery to wipr the info overnight, but it just wiped the BIOS settings - I still can't get to the processor speed settings. I have spent hours trying to work this out, can anyone help??

Intel motherboards are usually specifically engineered to not be overclockable. The Phoenix bios is a typical giveaway. Phoenix is a division of AMI I believe, that only does custom bios chips for oems and almost never has any speed type adjustments.

Very few folks (none that I can think of) have had any luck overclocking an Intel MB.

Wait 1 sec, he is running a p3 450 on a PII mainboard? Can you do that?

O right maybe i dun need to buy a new mobo for my p3 450!!!

the p3 450 is a p2 with sse and I think they lowered the voltage to 1.8v on some, some boards may need a bios update if they were released before the p3, my old bx board runs the latest coppermine fc-pga chips fine which made a real cheap upgrade from my old PII 233
