Can anyone help me get these Logitech 5.1 Z640's and Soundstorm to work? I have installed the latest Nvidia Chipset drivers and I know these speakers work right. Right now I can only get the front 2 and center speaker to work. I try settings it to 5.1 and 5.1 Dolby Digital, but either way, rear speakers don't work....tried to do the speaker wizard but after going through it Soundstorm says its 2 speakers....any help would be great, thanks!

Do you have it plugged in right? The NF7-S v2 have additional plugs....depending on how you set it up that might be the problem

The Dolby Digital output only works if you have the digital connection plugged in (optical or coaxial), which I know you don't since the Z640's have no such input. You gotta make sure you're plugged in right, or else the back speakers will not make noise.

Hmm, seems to be the case, i'll hafta look at the manuals. Ya i've heard about Nf7's messed up colorcoding on the Soundstorm.

I'v got your solution

Here is what you do. Green cable goes to green input, black goes to yellow, yellow goes to black. lol. I had to figure that out in pure frustration. I thought my speakers were messed up.

Thanks a ton man, really helped me out. Crazy Abit trying to confused people...

Can the Z-640's work with 5.1 Dolby Digital in Soundstorm?

But on neweggs site it said that the z-640s were 5.1 DD capable. As long you have a sound card that supports it.

Yup Soundstorm does support it so I guess its ok.

Features: Experience Dolby Digital sound for music, movies and games, Innovative, dual-chamber subwoofer delivers twice the bass energy of similar subwoofers, Magnetic shielding in speakers protects your equipmen

Is that the same thing? :D *Is a speaker n00b*

Bump

Does the Nvidia Soundstorm use EAX 2? I'm testing both right now, and for some reason on Call of Duty the sound isnt coming out in the right directions with the Soundstorm.

By the way i'm using nvmixer version 4.31 and in 5.1 Dolby Digital speaker mode. I'm trying to see wat this nvswap thing is, but I don't understand how it works, heh i'm a speaker noob too
