There is basically no room between the northbridge greenie ( i put thermal grease there) and my Coolermaster heatsink. What can i do get a fan on the greenie? It gets pretty hott when i have my P3 450 @ 617 139fsb in there.

I think Tennmax has built a h.s./fan to replace the greenie..I think it's called the lasagna cooler, and it replaces the original...also I seen some h.s/fans made for replacing the greenies, and even had the little tabs for the plastic clips. At $5.00, I should'a bought one, but I don't want to pull apart my box, just to cool the greenie, but I am blessed, because my greenie is located right under my alpha, so it's getting plenty of air.
you might try cooling your clock generator...I took a TO220 heatsink from Radio Shack ($1.49), sliced it, and glued it on my clock gen with arctic silver thermal glue, and droped my temps by a degree or two...and with o'c'ing..every little degree you can drop is potentialy either more speed or more stability.
attached is a pic of my clock gen with heatsink added.
One final note...DO NOT use too much glue, in my pic, you can see that I came close to getting the glue on my contacts.

Goto this website and check out the front page with the metal converters.....

i think i might get the 90mm pro. My greenie is right under my heatsink too...but with my p3 the slot1 standard heatsink doesn't have any holes along the sides so, no air gets down to it. Is there a solution to this?

The lasagna cooler vents from the sides to allow air movement in tight spaces. I have one on my BF6 underneath my PEP66.

Carmine, kill two birds w/ one stone and get an Alpha P3125 hsf. Set the fans to "suck" up away from the mb.....

I've got a pair of YS Tech 27 cfm fans on mine, and it keeps the cpu, and the northbridge greenie cool, like Tim says.

I want to get a pair of Delta 38 cfm fans...then I'll be moving more air than my wife's new vacuum, and our air conditioner combined! =)

Lap the greenie, and put Arctic Silver on it, too. It helps a lot.

I took a slot hsf for a pentium [5 bucks] igot it used but in new shape and I cut it down to the size of the fan and used double sided thermal tape I will later use arcticsilver glue, you can cut down the rest of the cooling fins that are left over from the slot hsf and put them on any exsposed chip that feels warm I did a nice job and my motherboard looks as nice as the photo in the previous reply.
