Hi, I've just built my new comp.. 1st problem and only problem I've had with it so far (n00b to overclocking) is being able to use both sticks of pc3500 256mb (512mb)
The computer only works with 256mb ram, am i doing something wrong?

The motherboard NF7-S BIOS is all set at defaults (cpu speed etc)
you think there is something wrong with my ram?
my ram exactly is Corsair 256MB DDR XMS3500C2PT Platinum CAS2

please help, I wanna be able to use 512mb pc3500 ram :(

sometimes the nforce boards are picky with the memory you use. i have no doubts that you will be able to use both. what you can do is try putting one in the socket closest to the cpu. if that doesnt work, put it in the next, then the farthest. if it works then try the second stick in the first, then second slot. that should get you working. if the first stick doesnt work at all, try putting it in a different machine to make sure that it really works. you might have to check both like that but to reiterate, with high quality ram like that you probably will be able to get both sticks running in dual channel without too much of a problem.

I'm using the exact same RAM you have in dual channel @ 242FSB.
I have my sticks in the 2 slots farthest away from the cpu (DIMM slots 2&3).
