i'm looking to get a card to replace my radeon 7500 or my onboard gf4 mx440. i don't really play many games, hardly ever play unreal 2004 and nothing else really. i am running dual 17" CRT's and would like something that can run high resolutions. my gf4 mx440 can only do 1280x1024 and i'd like to run it higher than that.

what card can i get around the $75-100 range that would be an improvement in gaming and help me run higher resolutions

The MX440 can go higher, maybe the drivers just dont let you? Maybe get a 9600np, that seems good inyour price range. Stay away from any SE's or LE's.

it's onboard my epox 8rga+, is that why it will only go that high? i just used the latest drivers on it, maybe it will fix it

1280x1024 is the highest resolution for most 17" monitors, I've rarely seen any that would do a higher resolution....I don't think it's a gfx card problem or limitation I think it's just a monitor limitation.
