I just upgraded and I can tell a big diff. from cas 2.5 and cas 2.0 in 3d mark 2001 SE. I have 256 megs of Mushkin pc-3200 and I have a option in the bios for cas 1.5 has anyone tried this, and if I try it what all could happen if things go aray.

Thanks

however it is still worth a try - especailly if you have high spec ram and your are running the ram at normal speed. i remember i bought 256MB PC133 CAS3 ram that ran at 170MHZ CAS2 fine, it is always worth trying it.

Cas 1.5 isnt even an official standard yet, well at least untill DDRII arrives next summer. If you got ram rated at CL2 with MHz behond what your FSB is then I'd say try it out. You really have nothing to loose.
