How much of a difference should I notice between case open/closed?

I am seeing about a 4c difference between - is this a sign of good or bad air flow?

Depends if your higher temps are with the case open or with the case closed.

If you are only seeing a difference of about 4C, I would say you have decent airflow. If your delta temps were around 10C, then I would worry, but 5 or less I consider to be good. My system actually runs hotter with the side of the case off, then with it on.

case open, prime runs to about 51c, case closed to about 55c

good, so I need not worry about trying to increase air flow any more.

many thanks
