I am in the process of building my newest game rig and need help with a case. I've dropped most of my money into the guts of the rig, such as mobo, CPU and memory, and now tight on funds for the case. I would like to keep the case to $150 max or (preferably) less.

I currently am looking at the AZZA Hurrican 2000 CSAZ-200. I've never heard of this case before. I've always used Antec in the past, but would like some recommendations, please. This time around I was going to go with Cooler Master until I saw this AZZA case.

Thanks for your time and suggestions.

For reference, my new game rig will contain the following:

mobo: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R
cpu: i7 950
cpu cooler: cooler master V8
memory: Corsair CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 6GB kit (using 2 kits for a total of 12GB)
Video: eVGA GeForce GTX295, Superclocked
power supply: Corsair TX750W, 750 watt
hard drives: Sata 6 drive, WD 1TB, WD1002FAEX (using 2 drives for raid 0)
DVD drive: LG 22x Sata DVD burner with lightscribe (GH22LS50)

I can't say I'd usually go with a relativly unknown case, however there do seem to be plenty of reviews out there on it. The hot swap hard drive bays seem to be a nice touch.

Wire management looks easy and from the reviews airflow is excellent. The one big selling point that stands out to me is USB3 support. There's not much out there with this right now.

I say go for it. Don't forget to post pictures of your build on here once done.

Thanks. I will post pix as things come together too.

I've decided to stick with the AZZA Hurrican 2000 case. Besides it costing only $129.99 at NewEgg, there is an additional $35 mail in rebate if I order the case by tomorrow, 11/9/2010. Shipping is only $4.99 on the 30 lbs case, so the case will end up being $94.99 plus $4.99 shipping. Not a bad deal.

Thanks again to everyone for their suggestions and feedback.

I should have added I ran 8 threads of Prime95 for over 20 hours to ensure stability on mine. It was rock solid and the CPU temps never exceeded 63 degrees Celsius. Ambient room temp is about 75 - 79 degrees Fahrenheit.

Looks to have come together nicely. Massive number of fans in there, how noisy is that beast?

That secondary mainboard power connector you have looped around the fan at the back of the case, you could probably route that behind the mainboard tray. Likewise, you can probably stuff any unused PSU cables in behind the mainboard tray too.

Nice build ;o)

Thanks!! Good call on the secondary mobo power. I think I can clean it up even more.

As for the sound, I too was worried with all those fans. The reality, the system does not even sound like it is turned on! I cannot believe how quiet it is. I was worried it would sound like a wind tunnel, but the fans are all so quiet. I believe the case specs show none of the fans turn over 900-1000 RPM, yet still move air nicely enough to keep my temps at what I listed earlier.

I never realized how nice a quiet computer was until this build. It was an unintended effect. My last game rig had six 80mm fans it it and was fairly noisy. Like I stated before, this system doesn't even seem like it is powered on.

Lol, silent really does come down to how loud the ambient noise is in the room your computer is in. Besides, never make the mistake of trying to deliberately silence a computer. You'll listen for the noises, as soon as you get rid of one sound, the next koudest component will become audible.

Great to hear you're happy with your rig. Looks like that case is pretty big too, lots of space inside.

Christmas came early. :D I just picked these up and will be installing them later this week when I am on vacation:

Video card 1: eVGA GTX570 (SLI mode)
Video card 2: eVGA GTX570 (SLI mode)
Power supply: Corsair HX1000W
