So I finally got around to making a small exhaust duct from my spu fan (60mm loud mofo, replacing soon with 80mm). And I made a side wall for my case out of cardboard (to test the setup), and put a fan hole and an 80mm intake positioned above my cpu.

My idle temps are now
Case: 31
Cpu: 31

Lol...case and cpu the same temp? I sense thats not good. I most likely need another exhaust fan yes?

Right now I have 1 intake in front, a HD cooler (with no hd in it) as another intake, and then the side intake. My only exhaust is the one in back ducted to the CPU (CPU fan blows onto the HS)

Well 31c is a temperature that I would love to have, I have yet to see somone have a CPU temp less than their case temp with only air cooling. the only way to really drop that case temp is to turn up the A/C.

Note: We are all assuming that you are using an appropriate method to find your temps. With identical temps like that it is quit possable that your probes are not doing an addiquate job.

Update:
My methods of measuring are as follows:

1. MBM5 (which Im positive is configured correctly, the cpu temp was way above case temp before I did my mod)

2. Digital Thermo built into case (I have the sensor between the cpu and HS)

3. Bios

I know this seems wierd thats why I posted it =P

Well, im stuck with 41 idle, 47 load (45 if not overclocked). with my semi-lapped Volcano 6cu+. Those temps are all with my digital doc. when i look at the bios or MBM5 my load temp reads 43c. Im planning on going to watercooling because air cooling a overclocked PC is just not practical in the FL heat:mad:

looking at your configuration, I'd say you definitely need at least 1 more exhaust fan. All that hot air has to go somewhere.
