Application Install: install package failure!
I'm starting to think it might be a hardware problem or incompatibility. This is my first experience with a higher end ATI card and might be my last.
After I installed windows, I installed all the MB drivers and then downloaded the latest driver from amd website. I tried 12.6, 12.4, the CD that came with the GPU, downloaded the latest driver from HIS website and none of them worked. I tried updating windows first. It all gave me the same error. I tried uninstalling and deleting everything from registry. Tried re I tried pulling each stick of ram to make sure it wasn't the ram. Tried uninstalling Microsoft Visual C++ first. Same result!!!!
The last thing i tried was reinstalling windows and tried installing the video card driver before installing the MB drivers. Same thing. Any idea what's wrong? Suggestions on what else I can try? Could it be hardware issue? MB or GPU? I'm thinking about sticking in my 560ti from my own computer in there to see if it works.
