I just got my 165 opty today.When i got home from work at 3:45 pm it was in my mail box.I was gonna wait til this weekend to put her in but of course i couldnt wait so i put her in and set it for 300x9x3 and 180 divider on my ram for her maiden voyage and she booted up 100% and is running great.

Thanks .Thats the plan.Im hoping for 2.9/3.0ghz.

And does anyone one know what divider to use when running at 335 or better FSB to keep my ram in the 270/280mhz range?I still havent figure out how to figure this out with trying it out frist.anyone have the forumula to figure out divder/ram speed

nice oc, can't count how many DFI Ultra-D + Opty 165's I've built.... 300x9 is the minimum i'd always start with...

Yep .But Im about 6 months late..lol.

Now i want a conroe..lol.Which i will be doing very soon.The old lady will get this PC minus a 6800GS

I removed the IHS on my 165 and it just caused me problems with the Ninja. It wouldnt contact the core correctly, which I should have realized before I took it off. Ended up using some silicone to reattach it along with AS5 as a TIM and my temps are exactly the same as before.
