i have an old gigabyte 686bx board..and its rock stable no problems at all and its fast!! now w/ the beta bios i can use celeron!!'s on them..but w/ all this stuff about cc0 steppings...what are my chances that it would work on my board? is there currently a list of woking bx boards w/ cco cpus?

*why does the cco wont work on some bx boards again?

It's possible your's will...

and the reason why a Cco might not work and a Cbo will ..is because as the stepping changes is a CPU line so can the CPU microcode..,
which the BIOS needs to support for the CPU to work...so if your BIOS has the room to support the added microcode..as well as your motherboard maker releasing the bios with it...then you MIGHT get your older board to work
