can i use a regular cd to view dvd with some program installed to view the dvd's. If not where do i go to find a dvd cd combo that isn't real expensive. have looked around the net a little but don't see anything except cdrw combos.

You can't use a Cd-rom to view DVD's, but you can use a DVD to use normal Cd-rom's. There is some programming that's called DivX that will play video files.

You can find cheap drives at www.pricewatch.com.
