thanks for the great link.. im was gonna add blue led's or something, but i gotta open the cdrw and see if i have space.
its a 16x plextor.. so im not too worried if it breaks, then ill just get a 40x :)

Every light in my computer is either blue, except for the hdd light, cuz the power light is blue, and the baybus tri colur lights, only cuz i havent replaced them yet with a red and blue light....i wish i could find one somewhere...if anyone knows where i can...please let me know...thanks

Very sweet. I'm going to have to order one of those drives and try it myself. I think it should go well in my plexi case. I wonder if I could get a small EL strip to work around the outside of the Window.

ill probly do a basic mod to mine, then add led's later cuz im flat broke now (darn ebay) :)
 
Did this a few weeks ago. I was done in somthing like 45min that with paint drying and all ;) Used the backside of a CD cover for the window as it's very thin. You need to use a thin material for the window otherwise it will start hitting spinning parts of the drive.
