i heard somethere that the tualceleron boxed cooler would make problems on correct fitting on an slot 1 adapter because of his greater size...? is here someone who got an boxed cooler on slot1 adapter ?

It will be tight to fit ANY cooler, cause dimm-slots are close... and on many heatsinks half of the air is exhausted onto mobo, which might leave the hot air in pocket.

i got an normal non modified slot 1 adapter and a p3 700 sockel 370 on slot 1 mobo, the boxed heatsink makes no problems...

BUT will the Tualatin Celeron Boxed heatsink make problems ?

the tualatin boxed hsf is a big mutha. it's not too much smaller than an intel P4 hsf, but the lack of the plastic mounts that come on the P4 hsf make it look much smaller.

it might fit, but the slocket would be in on an angle. i used a dr thermal hsf on a slocket which resulted in the slocket sitting on an angle. if there had've been a heatsink on the northbridge, there's no way it would've gone in.

what do you mean " on an angle " ? iam german so my english not sooo good ;) i have got the soyo 6vca mobo and the northbridge right beside the slot 1 got an small passiv heatsink...

oh thats fine to hear ;)

how far the boxed heatsink reaches down the slot 1 pins of the adapter ?

by "on an angle" i mean the slocket will not be vertical in the slot.
it will be tilted towards the back of the case.

it's not really much of a problem as long as the pins on the slocket are making contact with the pins in the slot.

My powerLeap's PL/IP3 slotket does also not have a problem with the tualeron stock HSF... (no longer using it, but it did fit OK) quite a bit of free space around. Only problem, as above mentioned, could be touching the first dimm slot, but still, my mobo does not have too much clearance and wasn't even a problem.
