celeron 850 to [email protected] worth $$

I have a celeron 850 and was going to upgrade to a 1.1 and clock it at 1.2 or 1.25 is it worth 70 bucks?

It would depend on how much 300MHz is worth to you... most apps are not specifically designed for anything over 800MHz, so an upgrade right now is probably not necessary unless you're a hard-core gamer or LANer and want the most possible FPS from your comp. If it were me, I'd save buying a processor until you can get a Tualatin, P4, or Athlon XP board and get a new everything, but it's totally up to you.

i would keep the 850 for a while try overclocking it. I have a celeron 850 running at 1214. but if you want upgrade i would go for an Athon XP or a P4.
