cheap IDE cables slower?

I got some IDE cables from SVC online. They were 3 bucks each for 18". They were the cheapest they had, and they were supposed to be UV reactive. They arent, but that doesnt really matter. Is it possible that I just messed up and got slower IDE cables? Will my drives read/write slower? I was using standard ribbon cables before.

I believe all the cables that SVC sells are ATA/133 compliant, making them about the fastest usable IDE cables out right now. You should be fine.
