ok, im looking for a p3 fcpga mobo for a 1ghz p3. it must have a fsb of 133 and at leat 5 pci slots. i now have a supermicro 370 sea with the 810e but it sucks very much. im looking for an 815 chipset or maybe some via one. the only catch is i only have about 60$ to spend. so, if u could find me a good mobo for that price i would be grateful. thankyou.

Last weekend I picked up a new Micro ATX board for my portable system. For 70 bucks I got a board that goes up to 140fsb and has onboard sound, video, 10/100 lan to boot. Also of great importance is overclocking options in bios! This is a rare find in a Micro board. The board is a Future Power FP-SI630E. Right now I have an old P3-500 running at 700mhz on a 140fsb along with an All In Wonder and SB-Live, portable gamer and vid capture. Also a DVD and burner make it a complete portable machine that can do anything anywhere :)

If you have to go cheap something like this may be an option as you will not get much in a full size ATX for that price.

cheap and OC'able are a hard combo. Really cheap is something like PCChips but practically useless for anything.

Cheap is something like Shuttle. That one can probably be found for $60 and rock solid, but not many features for OC'ing.

You're gonna have to save up a bit for something better if you want some features. DFI for instance has several settings, and is a good board, but will run around $80. (may even get optional on board sound for that price)

Tyan is also good with about the same features as DFI, but I've RMA'd a few of them yet hear of many others having very good sucess. Still not too many features but still sub $100 prices.

Hope that helps.
