Blue box on the left the PSU? If it is, might make it a little inconvenient messing with your cards.

Yah, the blue is the PSU. I did kinda think about it making things tough to get at. Dimensions are 13" cubed. The plan is to use aluminum, if ever actually make it. Im starting to think maybe it would be best to swap the mobo and drives.

Im not sure if there would be enought room front to back for 5.75 drives and PSU if there both on top though. Plus then you would be working under it to get at stuff which would also be inconvenient.

Great design. I am curently designing my cube also. Mine is 14" instead. I think you should put hinges on the mobo side of your box so you can open it like the apple g4 box one. It is much more easier to play around in your box and add cards, ram or anything else. By the way, what program are you using to draw the cube?

well some of you guys might have seen the NeXT cubes that are for sale, they're 1 foot cubed, some guy on the phaeton forums modded one....they can be stripped of paint and polished to an awesome shine (they're magnesium!).

Supposedly you can buy one of the cubes right now for a hundred bucks. If anyone's interested I'll post the link, since the phaeton forum thread lists how he assembled the machine inside the cube, plus where he got it and all the modding step by step.

Just thought i'd let ya know since it might be a solution to your idea.

Program is Auto CAD 2000, im taking a cad class in school. I kinda like the hinge idea, that would solve the problem of not being able to access the cards.
