I'm watching some P3's (850MHz - 1000MHz) on e-bay right now, as well as a 256MB stick of CAS2 PC133 RAM.

I got this junk for free, and it has two 64MB PC-100's in it!

Oh well, hopefully after upgrading to a P3, and PC-133 (2-2-2) I'll be in the 8 hour range :)

Actually, anyone want to buy this system for cheap? I really have no use for it.

I had the same setup. On the GUI version it took me 60 hours to crunch one WU. And I had it overclocked to 563mhz.:p

I tried overclocking this thing, but with such a high multiplier (8 X 66) the minimum overclock that I could do was from 533 to 600. It couldn't even boot into windows.

The RAM however, it's PC-100 CAS3 running at PC-124, 2-3-3-5 :)

My first cruncher was a celly 566 also at 66 Fsb. It could do a WU at 10-12 hours with ram at Cas 2. (ram was pc 133).

Then oc to 708 (with box cooler) still ram at cas 2 it could now do one in 10 and sometimes as low as 9,5 hours...
