My AMD rigs are chewing on of a bunch o' p1141_RIBO_FSpeptide_HEL_nospring Gromacs right now, breakfast-lunch and dinner! All but one of my AMD duallies are doing two at a time; the Soltek A64's got one and so does my NF7.

I can't hardly wait to get with the folding on my P5LD2, but that'll come soon...loading up the o/s right now! :)

Fold on brother man :attn:

I got big packets and advmethods on and I still can't land a 600 pointer on my XP. :cry:

Hey Hibner,

I have 2 instances of FAH running on my X2, one with advmethods and one without, and it seems that the one without gets more 600 pointers than the other. Weird. :)

If you have -advmethods on you don't get any 600 pointers, as far as I can tell with my rigs.

My tualatin celeron 1.75ghz with 384mb ram got one the other day. It has -advmethods and bigpackets. Other than that, it has been getting only the small gromacs, so I think the AS didnt have anything else to assign when I got it. I wish i could land some of the 364 pointers as this rig achieves the highest ppd from these.

I don't understand ... out of my last 1000 wu's on rigs set for QMD's I only recall seeing 1 148x wu.

R u sure u r set up right? QMD's (for me) are guaranteed :shrug:

Enough mem showing?

That's what I was wondering. Ive never had a qmd eligible rig get anything else. Add the -verbosity 9 flag and see how much ram the client is reporting in the fahlog.txt The client has to report at least 504mb and sometimes the video takes enough that a 512mb box will report less.

Yea, they are back and my Winnie MSI board took a holiday :mad:ing MSI POS.
I still have a borg and my Sandi guzzling these things and of course my P4 on QMDs again :thup: and the tower with a layer doing Tinkers.:D
Ok Lets Fold!

I haven't seen a 600pt. gromac in AGES. And with the .128 server on reject I haven't had a 364 pointer in a few weeks either.

Are you talking about your "sig rig"? My NF7's running a 2600 xp-m and getting the gromacs.

Client config?

Hey ChasR,

Since I'm fairly new I can't speak to the regularity, but the instance running -adv on my X2 had a 604 pointer yesterday. It was the first 600+ pointer I've seen on that client.

604 pointers are for a different project than the 600 pointers they're talking about. The 604s are DGromacs, which require -advmethods, IIRC.

The 604 pointer was p2359_Protein_G which is a Double Gromac. You'll make a lot of ppd on it because the benchmark machine doesn't use SSE2 and yours does, which will double the output. But the WUs in question are from the Ribosome series which are p114x, p1150. The DGromacs are great producers (155ppd/GHz/core) on any AMD rig with SSE2, better than all but p147x/81. They're not bad on XP Bartons (no SSE2) either at 83 ppd/GHz.

Yeah Im talkin about my sig rig. I turn out about 190~200 ppd on it. This evening I got a 686 point double gromac. (p2352_FKBP) Thats the first one I have seen over 250 points on this rig in a long time.

Here is my client config:
[settings]
username=hibner
team=32
asknet=no
machineid=1
local=383
bigpackets=yes

[http]
active=no
host=localhost
port=8080
usereg=no

[clienttype]
type=1

[core]
priority=0
cpuusage=100
disableassembly=no
checkpoint=15
ignoredeadlines=no

Well it's only it's third WU for this machine and yes it's running a video card so no stealing of video memory there.

Current WU is 1141.

....WOW....

Just dug through the log and my advmethod flag just dissapeared!!! It's not there now and was the last one and I didn't edit anything since I started it up two WUs (QMDs) ago. Wierd. :shrug:

Stop service and put that back in there....

10-4, thanks for the clarification. :)
