Hi:)

I have been reading many of the forums and have seen alot about "unlocking L1 with a pencel". Can someone please tell me what this means. and can it be done on my CPU (AMD Duron 1000 @ 1170, DFI MOBO). Also can you guys tell me if my cpu overclock speed is good as this is the first time I have done it (Thru My BIOS). My temps never go higher than 41C and I don`t seam to have any probs.

Cheers:D   :D

The Pencil trick can work on any Athlon/Duron. Your O/C is good for first time. Get some better cooling and try for some more. Ask this in AMD CPUs and you will get a better response as this question does not belong in memory. Unlocking means connecting the L1 bridges with pencil lead or some other conductive material. Use SiSoft Sandra or Prime 95 to benchmark your cpu to see if there any stability issues/problems.
