I'm starting to look into playing with the I2C bus (using Linux) - what clock generator does Intel use on this board? I could open it up when I get home but that'd take time...

Basically, if they did things the "right" way and there's AGP/PCI fix I might actually be able to overclock Intel boards in software... ;) This was doable back in the AL440LX/SE440BX-2 days, but now that SoftFSB is gone... sigh.

Intel uses clock gens that aren't programmable, because they're cheaper.

It's definitely a CK408 on that board ... most likely a Cypress W320-04H or something similar.

You should be able to see it on your board ... it'll most likely be located just to the left and above the AGP slot.
