Question for a cold plate should I use a 1/2 or 3/4 inch copper plate for my 226watt peltier?

1/2" is fine but 3/4" has better heat spreading if your water block has alot of outer channel surface contact you may want to consider the 3/4" but 1/2 will suffice just fine.

Im using a Danger Den Maze 3 so would the 3/4 inch be better. And curious as the thinking of the increased thickenss so Im going to ask why.

You get to the point of dimminished returns real quick after
about 3/8 inch. From 1/2 to 3/4 inch the improvement is
marginal at best.

BillA has an article on the front page that covers this quite well.
