I am thinking of buying an MSI 815E Pro from my local computer shop. They give it high praise but Im still not fully convinced. Anandtech rated it second to the CUSL2 in their "August Motherboard roundup", and they said that the CUSL2 was only slightly better.

This is what will be running on my system:

Celeron II 600@900(has ran stable @1Ghz on BE6-II)
Mushkin 128Mb, CAS 222, rev. 1.5
3D Prophet II Pro 64Mb DDR
IBM 75GXP 30.7Gb ata/100
SB Live! Value OEM(or a Guilumont Muse, havnt bought the sound yet)
Enermax 330watt PS

Any advice would be great as I plan on buying it tomorrow, unless convinced otherwise.

P.S. I would go with the CUSL2 but they want $180.00 for it! Crazy! They want $130 for the MSI, which is still a tad high but bearable. I have a hard time online shopping as I dont have(or want) a credit card. Plus they are great guys and are overclockers themselves.

well...i just got the board...

it's very stable even without the heatsink on top of the chipset...

once you set the jumpers to the fsb range that you need, no more problem. i haven't udpated the bios yet but i suppose there'll be some fixes and features in the bios.

one thing's that missing is the option to change the agp transfer rate. ram timings can be configured well...

it's a good board for the price....asus just has more tweaks...
