Compaq 5000US

Can the Compaq Presario 5000US's motherboard be overclocked? (UWAVE. Duron750)

I have model 5WV270- 750 Duron, sounds like same Mobo. Could not figure out how to change settings or even change Bios. Installed a 950 Athlon Thunderbird this week, but performance is not as good as anticipated (still much better than the Duron). I'm picking up a new Abit KT7a-Raid tomorow and will try that.

I think Compaq has gone way out of their way to make sure we don't overclock that board. I am kinda new at this, and the techs. at a local store couldn't figure out the actual board maker and if the settings could be changed. Good luck with this one!
