Does compaq make and use their own MOBOs in their presario computers ? (like the model 5360)

Thanks

Yes Compaq make their own Mobo's, I had a Presario with a K6 and the Mobo died. The replacement cost was £298 UK(luckily it was still under warranty), and to tell the truth it was the worst Mobo I've ever had. Onboard sound onboard graphics and the overclocking properties of a dead rabbit.
In the end I bought a replacement board with new Graphics and sound cards that cost less than the Compaq mobo.

:p Yes Compaq uses all there own stuff all hardware is made for them and there mobos stink. I had a compaq not much you can do with it as far as upgrading. My opion, you,re better off dumping it and building your own. Some of there componets can be used if you get the files others forget it.

yes , compac like ibm and hewlet packard make its own mobos...so if you are lucky and you can find a jumper on it, you may overclock your ssytem
