Can anyone help me find the specs this Laptop for the Mobo?
The # is V6216CA for the board.
It is running Vista Basic and the CPU is AMD Turion 64.
Ser# CNF70454R7.

What specs are you looking for, exactly? Here's the Compaq support page about it... is there something you need to know that's not listed in that information?

Thats great as this unit needs warranty. The Mobo is cooked. It belongs to a friend of mine who had a Pro put a stick of 2 gig ram into it. Too bad it only takes 2 sticks of PC 5200 667mhz 1gig each for a total of 2 gig. He also had a stick of 512mb in there already.

Putting a 2gb stick in shouldn't hurt anything. Worst case deal is it doesn't boot. Remove stick and retry or swap slots. My Laptop only supports 2gb but I've 2.5 in there but it only boots if the stick is in one slot and not the other.
