Well my friend finaly got a job.. and hes doing relly good at making 20 dollers an hour ..so i started talking about computers. and he asked me what brand to get... dell? hp? and i stand up in a fit yelling NOOO and i would build him his own computer for under 1500 dollers and have it 10 times better then any dell.

Not bad at all. I fiddled with that particular Asus board briefly and although I usually like Asus ok I wasn't overly impressed. I see you're using one already and are likely partial to it, but I'd recommend the Abit NF7-S2 or AN7 over the Asus board. Likewise the cost difference between the XP-M2500 & 2600+ are pretty small($10 or so), but the 2600s seem to be the overclocking kings &/or cooler running chips currently. One last note...although I love the choice of Lite-on recorder, unless every single penny is crucial I'd definately upgrade to a DVD+/-R instead. The cost will be small but the DVD burner could prove far more useful, particularly if it's going to be the only optical drive onboard.

yea.. so ..the 2600 is better.. ok i will look into that.. um.. what one do i want? theres 2 2600s ...do i want the low vottage or high vottage one?? http://ncix.com/products/index.php?minorcatid=106

i was thinking of getting him a dvd r and i am still thinking... its just to get one around here its over 100 dollers.. and the one there is 40 dollers.. but i am thinking it would be better in the long run.

for the mobo i think i am gona get this ABIT NF7-S2 SOCKETA NFORCE2 DUAL DDR AGP 5PCI SATA RAID SOUND LAN its just over 100 dollers so its a bit cheeper then the asus one. abit (lol) better too if i think

edit: whats a good dvd-r ? i want it to be able to burn cd-r at min 48x and read 48x ..if possable 52x . max i will go is 150 canadain.

o yea.. ofcourse. i will thinking of getting a theermallake 480watt. dual fans.. my dad has one ..they are good

the person i am buying this stuff wants to keep the hardware price under 1500 dollers. ..i got the screen in there too so that and the vidoecard are the big price.

i gota sit down with himoneday tho. and say after all the hardware ...i might get new fans for the case too. ..want low temps so..

everything seems a tad over price, but hey i live in the states, prices are a little different, i would throw the CDRW out and replace it with a DVDRW. the keyboard and mouse can be replace by a combo, like the logic tech elite or the microsoft confort, alot of wireless combo will go cheaper than the ones you've listed. he'll definitely need a decent sound card, that stuff on the onboard is very limited. Can you find prices lower than that? man those prices are really stiff IMO.

ok.. theres no newegg in canada.. and i just looked at the site for a idea of prices.

i dont know whats a good dvdrw.. so i need some help there. one of my friends ..hes a ittech has a 5.1 soundcard he will give me for 20 dollers. ...it was a 200 doller soundcard new so..

well i know wireless keyboards are good.. but mice? are they good? ...i want a very good proformace and the max i will pay for a mouse and keyboard is 80 dollers.

if i remeber fast420a had this deal for canada people who want newegg.. i will pm him

The Lite-on 1213s is a solid 12x unit. Slightly cheaper is the 812s(8x). There are also a couple of reasonably priced NEC burners available...such as the ND-2510A.

WELL for all them people who dont know the value of a canadain doller.. heres what i might get after fast420a replys to my pm.

this is all newegg stuff.. much better stuff then above.. for about the same price. well heres the list
