4 Pin or "3+1 male pwm" connector
Anyone have any idea where to find these? I have come across them from Alibaba, eBay and various other sites but the sellers are either wanting to sell mass quantities or they're just simply overpriced like a few other PC modding sites. The best I have found so far is like a 25pack from eBay which is being sold as a fan extension cable (both ends on about 3 - 4 inches of wire) which isn't TOO bad I don't guess considering what you would be getting, but ships from China. Also, if someone knew a part number for the pins that are used inside of both male & female ends would be very helpful.

You can probably get them at Performance PCs if you need them soon. I'm not sure what pins those use, though.

holy..... "First responder" is the perfect title for you. It's almost like you're automated that was so quick. lol. But yes, I have come across those on frozen, moddiy, and performance. I'm not in a desperate hurry or anything, but I would like to place a rather decent size order for them. Maybe 50+ pieces or so. Alibaba on the other hand (or the sellers i happen to come across) wanted to sell them at least 1000 pieces.

Digi-Key and Mouser may have them, but I don't have time to look, at the moment. I don't know the name of them offhand, so I'm not much help right now. :(

Response time was just good timing, ha. :)

Just wanted to say thanks for putting this thread together, it really helped me out while looking for parts to use to make my own power cords. I did a little digging on Mouser and have found a few parts to add to the list:

4 pin ATX CPU female power connector

8 pin EPS12V CPU female power connector

I've purchased both of these and confirmed that they properly accept female ATX pins and mate with my Mobo. There also seem to be a bunch more in the same family that only differ in color, flammability rating, and a few other parameters that shouldn't make much of a difference, so you can get them in white, black, and natural. Hope this helps!

My research into the connectors has given me this information so far:

I think most of the ATX MiniFit jr connectors are specified (a new consolidated series i think,) in this: https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/039039242_sd.pdf
[Molex brand part numbers for black connectors] (pn / mfg eng pn)
ATX 24 Pin Connector (Female) single piece: 39-03-9242 / 5557-24R-400
EPS (cpu) 8 Pin connector (Female) single piece: 39-03-9082 / 5557-08R-400
EPS (cpu) 4 Pin connector (Female) single piece: 39-03-9042 / 5557-04R-400
[Molex brand part numbers for black connectors, for Seasonic Focus Platinum 750w]
Seasonic Focus Platinum 18 pin (Female) psu side of 24pin: 39-03-9182 / 5557-18R-400
Seasonic Focus Platinum 10 pin (Female) psu side of 24pin: 39-03-9102 / 5557-10R-400

PCIe 8 Pin Connector (Female) single piece: 45587-0004, (3rd generation polarization) Referenced in sheet for 45587-0003, page 2, right hand side https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/455870003_sd.pdf

PCIe 6 Pin Connector (Female): 45559-0002, sheet: https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/455590002_sd.pdf

Unfortunately, I have not found the 8-pin PCIe part on Mouser, Allied, Digikey, or Newark. Mouser is talking to distributors for me, but I have not heard back yet. I was hoping to make my own psu cables and needed these connectors, but have not been able to find them through the usual suppliers. I might have to check mod sites, but didn't want to pay $5 each for a no-name brand. Some of these connectors are still available under older part numbers, but I have been collecting the information for the newer part numbers to keep it accurate going forward.

hope someone finds this useful.
