I was hoping that during Computex 2024 that Nvidia would release the 50 series cards. Instead they gave a 2hr speech about AI. Only thing i found really interesting was that they can link 72 GPUs together to function as 1 GPU (imagine the PPD, LOL). Nothing on the 50 series unfortunately.

Descent Recap:

AMD Released their 9000 series CPUs. They are roughly 16% better IPC (Instructions per cycle) while being much more efficient. We will have to see how much truth is in that when 3rd party reviewers get ahold of them.

Post magically merged:

Almost forgot! MOAR AM4

Ugh! AI performance does not equal f@h performance, I hope nvidias focus on ai doesn't have negative effects on their new cards PPD. I mean, they're already dedicating their best silicon to AI, but hopefully the 5000 series cards still see their expected performance boost in f@h too.

We wont see the new GPUs for a few months. I didn't expect to hear anything on that front.

MOAR AM4 is......................curious. Just moar boost? Must've had some leftover silicon.

I don't think you'll need to worry about the performance uptick coming along with the new NV GPUs. ;)

Nothing good on AM4. 5900xt is basically a 5950x with less boost. And the prices they accidentally showed (then promptly pulled down) weren't any better lol.
