I just installed XP, and so far so good. Just have a couple questions.
1) how do i stretch the quick launch area, right now it only fits 3 icons and shows a ">>" rest of them. win2k used to have a black vertical separation bar that i could drag.
2) In Win2k, in Windows Explorer, when i click on a HDD, it would show how much room is left. When i click on an image it would show a little preview of it. How do i set this up in XP?

Im sure i'll have more questions about configuring xp, just the way i like it. Thanks in advance.

I figured out how to expand the quick launch.
Still need help w/ the 2nd question.

The 2nd question. Just open My Computer, and hover the cursor over a drive and it will show what room is left. Or, left click the drive once, and it will show the info in the lower left of the screen.

but is it possible to confiugre it like windows 2000, so that on there is a preview area, which shows drive info, etc..
In windows explorer.

here is a screen shot of windows explorer on win2k computer. See the area where drive C: info appears. That area also shows image preview etc...
How do i enable it in win2000?

Just like ptwearnhardtfan suggested, or...when in My Computer, right click the drive and select "Properties" | "General" tab. Here is where you'll find a pie chart showing the graphical capacity of the drive, including available free space and used space.

When in My Computer, make sure the "Details" bar is visible in the LH pane...by enabling "Show common tasks in folders" (Tools | Folder Options | "General" tab-->Tasks). If you have "Single-click to open an item" selected under the "Click items as follows" section of the "General tab", then hold the mouse pointer over an image file...and an image preview will show up under "Details" in the LH pane. If you have "Double-click to open an item" selected, then click once on the image file for a preview under the "Details" pane. :)
