Lets say I put a hole in the right side of my case, up behind the cpu. And in this hole I attach a... 92mm fan. would that help at all, or is my mind just turning to jelly as the sun is about to come up.

theres no harm in trying :D

cept to the case :D

ive heard from some people who have done it they didnt see a noticable improvement...

Yeas the mosfets and NB and SB DO get hot from the back... but thats pretty much it. The plastic socket acts as an insulator between the CPU and the other side of the mobo so it wont really help to put it behind the socket. Might help behind the NB, SB, or mosfets
