It seems like every other week I have to reformat my drive,it seems when I try to get the most out of my CPU and memory it gets files corrupt or missing.
I run Prime 95 and SETI and seems stable until I reboot, and they it wont let me,am I pushing this to far?
I know I am getting tired of it..
Thanks:rolleyes:
PS If I lower my multiplier and up the FSB seems to be when it happens, dont pay attention to Sig,I havent changed the settings yet,but is same.. board in post..

file corruption

I'd say it's the hdd losing bits on such a fast pci bus. Might be caused by mean ram timings too. My girlfriend just upgraded with some extra memory in her non-overclocked machine(doh! she's getting into hacking instead of OC'ing), and a bunch of her system files got corrupted. Turned out the new ram couldn't take the same timings her crucial stick could. I don't know if that's what corrupted the sys files or not. I posted about it, wondering whether it was a virus or the ram and didn't get much response.

IMO Verdict: HDD or ram running too fast

It has to be the HDD because I just got Kingmax 2700 and it was doing it before, and I have been through 5 IBM HDD from Gateway, they suck..
Thanks for the info:D
