Ya I bet it is some issue like that. I told him yesterday to email them and ask them what exactly the hardware is that they put in the computer, to make it 'preload voltage' to the OC'd parts of the computer. I can't wait to see their answer haha.

Oh and back to my WC setup, I have decided to go with AS5 (As I have had good experiences with it) for my initial build. Then once I get everything working well, and if I feel adventurous enough, I will delve into trying the Indigo Xtreme product. Also, for the GPU Block, would you recommend using some AS Ceramique instead of the AS5? Due to its non-conductive nature, or would AS5 be alright to use on the GPU also?

mx-2 is cheaper than AS5 and better...I like ceramique for subzero, but only because it's CHEAAAP and doesn't contain any metal, so you can pull it off while it's still frozen rather than having to torch it to ambient temps.

Ahh ok, well I got some AS5 and the EK Block comes with some MX-2. Just the reviews I have seen, show that AS-5 was better. But then others show MX-2 as better. So I was going to go with AS5 since I have had experience with them.

Edit: Just saw, they have MX-4 now, maybe I will check that out. See if it is better than MX-2

mx-4 rocks...it's just a bit on the expensive side for something you're pretty sure you're gonne replace, mx-2 is my favorite balance of price and performance.

Ya, I found that review. I will probably go with the MX-2 due to it showing as being a much better TiM. I will eventually go with the Indigo Xtreme for my CPU and probably the MX-4 for my GPU/Chipset.

Alright, so I took the plunge and WC'd my computer. I have an EK Supreme HF CPU Block - Acetal + Nickel and I bought the EK Full Cover MoBo Block - Acetal + Nickel (on EVGA Classified3 MoBo). I have my i7 920 D0 OC'd to 3.8GHz Stable (Prime95) and under load the max core temp I see is 55/56C. I have the Black Ice GTX Xtreme 120.3 Rad and I have three San Ace 120x38mm Fans in a 'Push' config on the top of my 800D. I normally run the fans at ~1300-1600 RPM (go up to ~2600RPM). According to AIDA64 (Replaced Everest) at idle my CPU temp is @ 20c (68F) and my core temps are ~34-36C. This is with the fans at ~1300-1400RPM. My ambient temp is somewhere @ ~20c (68F).

I will post some pic's once I get some taken. They loop is kinda ugly, especially since it was my first time. I have chosen not to WC my GTX 275 as I am going to get rid of it, and I purchased a GTX 470 SC. I am thinking about doing the EVGA Step-Up to a GTX 580 and WC'ing it. If I were to stick that in my current loop, would that add a tremendous amount of heat to the loop? (Since I am running at basically ambient temps for my current loop, would it be able to handle the added heat output?)

Also, beings as its tax season and I am getting a decent amount back in taxes, would it be worth it to purchase an EVGA GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper 2? Or would it be better to do the step-up to the GTX 580 (OC it to FTW Speed if I got a good Vanilla 580) and buy an EK block or the newly released Hydro 2 Block from EVGA? It would cost me 699.99+tax/shipping for the FTW card, where the Step-Up would cost me ~$260 + 149.99 (Hydro 2 Block) + tax/shipping. Although, if I went with the FTW card, I would get a guaranteed OC and I would also be able to sell my GTX 470 for ~$200-$250. Which would offset the FTW card price a little.

Alright, so I took some pictures with my phone, and here they are. When I eventually WC a gfx card, I am going to redo the loop some, so that it is a little cleaner and more organized. The water pump is a 'lil
off kilter because the curve from the tubing, was a bit too strong for the sticky pad that came with it. And as such, it kind of pulled itself loose a little. Once I get a gfx card in there though, I plan on permanently
mounting it with screws.

You really don't want to use the foam sticky to start with. The pump needs a bit of air under it. Seen it overheat with it sealed off. If you mount it with screws, have a bit of a standoff. 1/4" is enough.

Looks like a 35x, my 35x came with a pad like that at least, it definitely lets air through at least a little.

Personally, I'd go for the setup up option skalm.

I have never used IC Diamond TiM so I don't know how good it is. I currently am using MX-4 and it seems to be working fairly well.
