I've been having problems playing Counter-Strike. I run CS Update 1.3 (new models and sounds) and Autoscript 1.3 (buy script). After a fresh restart of my machine I can connect to all the servers I want. The next time I load up CS, it'll sporadically connect right to the first server, and all the other times it won't. I switched GPU drivers, and that didn't help. My command line says this: C:\Games\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game cstrike -numericping +exec adminpass.cfg -noipx -zone 8000 -heapsize 85000. When I disable the autoscript it works sometimes. Any help would be very nice. I want to play again.

I can swap NICs if neccessary if it'll help.

I also run WinMX (file transfer program), Seti, Outlook Express, and Trillian (chat program) in the background.

Why is your line so long ,are you an admin on a server and have it connect and load your admin file at the same time ,if you installed it to the default directory and your running XP ,just backup your line to a TXT. file and try mine.

C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game cstrike

Yes I am an admin on a server. My line is long so that I get my adminpass file executed, no ipx support reported, the zone and heapsize increase mem area for stuff, and numeric ping gives me nubmers for server pings. I'll delete the admin_pass.cfg execution and try it.

Wait dont delete you admin.cfg file

as long as you remove it from the line it wont matter.I always just go into console and exec mine ,cause I am to lazy to add all that stuff to it mainly, but are you sure you got all the updates?Use the autoupdate and see if it finds anything and let me know.

There are no updates available. I am running Half-life 1.1.0.8, and Coutner-strike 1.3 I think the problem lies in the NIC or the Autoscript files.

Yours is in a diff directory ,try this line

C:\Games\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game cstrike

I have the right directory. I disabled the autoscript by using // in the exec lines of my autoexec file in the cstrike folder and I can connect to anything I want. The problem lies in the autoscript files.

If its possible and you can tell me what files they are ,I can maybe send them to you or post them here if they are small, just let me know.Do you think it will work if you just replace the files?

I use WinXP. Could that be a problem? I've been thinking about taking this script and stripping it down to make my own with the same functionality with a lot less files. One file and less stuff. I don't ever use radio commands and there are a lot in those files.

I just need to figure out how to do this.
