What would be a good CPU fan + heatsink that is compatible with the ASUS A8N-E mobo, and AMD 64 3200+ CPU? I'm looking for one that's not extremely expensive, but has better performance than the stock cooler. It would be nice to have the ability to adjust the direction of the airflow to line up with my exhaust fan.

Thanks!

so you want a new heatsink? Not just a fan...right? Are you overclocking? For that cpu...you dont need a massive cooler. But you might be able to get away with a passive Scythe Ninja since your exhaust fan is there....

This one is pretty new, its cheap, and it performs very well actually....

when I had my a64 3200 winchester...I overclocked it to 2.5ghz with this cooler...

Under load, the temps were about 50c. No high performance solution is really needed for a64's.

Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention I was looking for a HS too.

I already run load temps in the mid 40's I believe, with my stock fan+heatsink.

Also, could you recommend some quiet 80mm and 120mm case fan's that still move a good amount of air? Adjustable speed would be nice.

personally....I would stay away from anything smaller than 120mm. Its difficult to get good airflow from small fans while staying quiet.

soooo, why do you need the upgrade? just wondering...

My stock fan is a tad bit loud, and I was hoping I could find one that is quieter, and can move the same amount of air or even more, and allow for better airflow management by paralleling the rear of the fan to my exhaust.
