I am using the Asus A7M266 mobo and I might be having a problem iwth my 1.4 ghz athlon chip. Wehn I start up in jumper free mode the system sets my clock multiplier to 10.5x and then I set the front side bus to 134 Mhz to get a speed of 1415 mhz. Are these settings correct? Anyway that I can/should change my settings to get better performance?

About the clock multiplier question , I beliive that they are right
(10.5X133 = 1396 , ) ,more or less 1400 mhz , you may be able to get better performance by uping the front side bus ,also for you to be getting 1415mhz your fsb I belive is at 135. Unlocking your chip and overclocking it will definitly give you better performance.

FSB's are not an exact science. The system clock frequency isn't exact. so you get decimals. The mobo companies just round up or down as they see fit, so you get something close enough to a certain number, but its probably not the number that is shown. That would explain your 1415 from 134
