Are the pins on a CPU gold plated, or solid gold?

I don't think it's solid gold, there's a bunch of overclockers up in here who would corner the gold market on account of how many CPUs they burnt j/k

I believe it's copper, gold plated copper maybe.

I was gonna say, if it was gold; collect old CPUs, collect pins, melt pins together, take gold, sell gold.
