I was just wondering if someone could help me figure out where I´m getting my CPU temp reading from. When I was reading in my MB manual I got the feeling that this board has a temp probe on the PCB inside the socket, is that correct?? And if so how can i make sure I get the reading from the CPUs internal diode instead? And also, the only monitoring program I´ve gotten to work well is HWDoctor which came with the board, other programs like MBM tend to give me bogus readings. Probably just a setup error on my part but still.
So if anyone with the same board or anyone else for that matter could help me, I´d be really grateful.

You should have a thermistor in the socket, by bending it up so that it touches the CPU but not interfering with the CPU sitting all the way in the socket it should give you more acurate temps, also you can put a small amount of thermal compound on it. I dont know about internal diode but the thermistor in the socket should give you within 1C of actual temps.
