How can I change the voltage going to my CPU on a ASUS A7V-E motherboard. I have a Duron 750MHZ. I know I can change the default voltage on the chip by connecting the L7 bridges, but I really dont want to do this. Is there any other way to do this.

One more question.
If I just raise the FSB speed to about 110-115 do I need to up the voltage? It is about 1.600 right now. Even if I just overclock the FSB i would still get about 860 MHZ with 7.5x115.

Hi Tuff,

I got some bad news for you...Vcore can't be changed on the A7V-E. I know, because I bought one myself and have been working with Asus tech support on it (who have been extremely courteous and helpful by the way).

If you just got the board, I would return it if I were you and switch to something like the A7V133 which CAN adjust Vcore and clock multiplier via the BIOS.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Good Luck.....Noel

wait a minute i bot something god news for you that you can raise up your voltage on A7VE in your procesor AMD DURON OR AMD THUNDER BIRD you can unlock the L7 bridges that can raise up the voltage up too 1.85 its the same way that you unlock the L1 bridges to adjust the multliplier
