"We bought the ASUS G22CH-DH978 pre-built gaming PC to review, originally priced at $2500. The pre-built PC is one of the worst-configured, and combined with misleading marketing, wins the award of being the worst pre-built we've reviewed so far. ASUS misses the mark on CPU clocks massively, performs equivalently to an i7-13700K in some tests we ran (despite it being a 14900K), and is intentionally power throttled just like the Corsair One i500 that we reviewed."

Man, Asus is just slamming them out of the ball park these days.

New blood must be running things.
Tis all about making money and screw everything/everybody in the process. The sad part is there's a slew of companies that take advantage of poor unsuspecting customers that do this on a regular basis.

The issue is your average buyer is simply not that computer savvy. They see a sleek case design with "gaming" on it and they think "My son/nephew/significant other will LOVE this!"
Oh yeah, absolutely. I remember someone local to me went all bat guano crazy over the first OMEN pc. I explained to him he can build a better rig with less money, but noooo. I told him not to call me if anything goes poof. It didn't last long before he started cryin' about it. I said I ain't touching it, it's all on you.

Never heard from him again.
