First off, let me say that I know that MBM can be way off on actual temps and that in socket thermistors aren't nearly as accurate as on die, that said I'm gettin some funny temps from MBM here recently... I just upgraded to a Tbird 1.4 on my trusty KK266 and at first I thought flames were gonna shoot outta my case with some of the temps I was seeing! Now I'm starting to see temps as low as 27C idle cpu (currently 32 while surfin, with case/aux temps of 26,22). I don't know if firing up the old Air Conditioner in the house has been the difference, but this seems strange... I still get temps as high as 50 after some serious gaming, ect... and the temps like to hover around the mid 40's on average. Currently scavaging for funds to put a blow hole in my case cause the CPU is in a bad spot (Glaciator hsf btw, great hsf!), but I though this was interesting and possibly worth sharing...(please don't tell me to take the side off of my case, I've already heard it, besides I can just imagine returning home from class to find my toddler teething on my GeForce 3 TI200)

MBM temps

lol about your kid teething on your vid card... my son's 14 months old and he seems to love to reach up and play with my mouse and keyboard. Another great overclocker in the making!

I also have a Glaciator 2, and I'm convinced my MBM temps are off in a bad way. AK35GT-R motherboard. Plenty of airflow, ambient at about 27C. When clocked at 11x148 and 2.0 vcore my temps max out at 38C according to MBM at full load. My idle temp is 35C. This cannot be right. I get instability like mad at this speed... either the cpu is at its limit, or my temps are much higher than MBM reports, or both. At default, 10.5x133, 1.75 vcore my temps are 33C idle and 38 C load.

Guess I should get an on-die temp probe and figure this out. For now, I've bumped the MBM readings up by +2C to compensate and give myself a bit of a safety margin.

I've had to reinstall on more than one occasion when they (I have 2 boys) hit the reset button while windows was loading and the registry was lost! Of course stupid windows couldn't repair it and wouldn't let me restore and old version... And they are always messing with my keyboard and touchpad too! I'm working on building them an old Celeron system for them break... Back to MBM, temps are back up to 46 this morning. I'm gonna wait till I install my blow hole before I overclock, but everything runs stable right now, go figure!

Hey flash your bios to the june 10th one for your board, Im running the same board with the same chip and was getting funcky temps that, then i flashed and got "realistic" temps I strongly reccomend flashing it adds more options in the bios as well

I'm currently running the 10-22 bios, I guess I'll try the 6-22 when I get the chance and see what happens...

just run SiSoft Sandra...go to System Information or mainboard Information and it will tell u the temps.

Or just look at the BIOS.
