That last known issue is a bit scary. I hope they fix that one soon!

We don't have to uninstall and re-install right? We can just install over the top? Wording on the page seems odd.

Up to you. I generally do a full uninstall, clean, and reinstall for every graphics driver however small because of the random issues involved.

Does this replace the Radeon Pro toolset or would I get anything out of downloading it? XCOM 2 is running like a dog for me, really frustrating :(

When I did this with 16.2 hotfix I had to add it to my current install or it didnt install everything properly. I first attempted to install it stand alone and it didnt install some of the Crimson features. I think this is meant to be installed in addition to the regular driver package. It is after all a 'hot-fix'. The only other thing would be to totally remove all AMD drivers and let Win10 install the drivers and THEN install the hot fix after. YMMV

I'm interested in trying these drivers out I'm still on the 15.71's should I just download this hotfix instead of the previous drivers

16.2.1 is a stand alone installer. Use DDU to uninstall the old drivers and install the 16.2.1 fresh. I'll assume they fixed something in 16.2 as this was released just 4 days later. But yes this is a working stand alone installer.
