I have a bad stick of Crucial Anniversary DDR2 PC25300. I bought two 1 GB sticks for $239.00 from Newegg. Since one of the sticks is bad and it came in a kit, they want me to return both for a refund because they are out of the memory and can't replace the bad stick.
However, I called Crucial and they said they would replace the faulty stick if I wanted under the lifetime warranty, but only after 30 days from the purchase date.
Do you guys think I should just wait and return the memory to Crucial? I have heard so many good things about the D9's that are used in them, I hate to just get a refund from Newegg and have to choose new ram.
Is there actually a better set of RAM from Crucial or anyone else to use at a comparable price? Or should I just stick with the Crucial and use their warranty.
